Effective January 1, 2013, EUREKA FIRE DEPARTMENT and HUMBOLDT FIRE DISTRICT #1 were consolidated as a Joint Powers Authority now known as
"HUMBOLDT BAY FIRE AUTHORITY"


As of May 2014, proposed new CHP Redding and Humboldt areas frequency changes have been delayed due to technical issues. Watch this space for news when it happens
